The Neo Natal and Fetal Medicine facility is located adjacent to the existing Maternity Building at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. The facility comprises a 64 cot Neo Natal and Fetal Medicine Unit including labour suites, operating theatres and ancillary spaces.

The 14 Labour / Delivery Rooms and two theatres are located on the ground floor with the Neo Natal and Special Baby Care Unit being located on the first and second floors respectively. The building is fully air conditioned with the air handling units, dual fuel boilers, medical gases plant and water filtration equipment being located within a rooftop plantroom.

Duplicate electrical supplies are provided to serve the building which have dual switchboards and auto-changeover arrangements at each section and distribution board. Mechanical & Electrical Services installations were undertaken by Taylor & Fraser Ltd. of Paisley.
