Davie and McCulloch were appointed to carry out the design for the new site-wide infrastructure upgrade at the Gartnavel Hospital site in Glasgow.

The works comprised upgrades of the site HV power network, water, gas and comms infrastructure. A new HV primary sub-station building was formed on the south east corner of the site, which provides power to all buildings on the site.

As the site was fully operational 24/7, the works had to be designed and planned to minimise disruption and downtime as far as possible.
